How to Add an Email Signature on iPhone (iOS Mail App)
The built-in Mail app on iPhone supports email signatures, but with one important limitation: iOS Mail only displays plain text signatures. You can't use HTML formatting, images, or links. If you need a formatted signature on mobile, consider using Gmail or Outlook for iOS instead.
Before you start
You'll need a signature to paste. Already have one? Skip to step 1.
Step-by-step setup
Pro tip: Use 'Per Account' if you have both a work email and a personal email on your phone and want different signatures for each.
Common issues
Pasted HTML is showing as code, not formatted text
iOS Mail does not support HTML signatures. Only plain text works here. If you need an HTML signature on mobile, install the Gmail or Outlook app and use that instead.
Signature not appearing in sent emails
Make sure you're sending from the Mail app and not a third-party app. Also check that the Signature setting is under the correct account (All Accounts vs Per Account).
Different signature showing for some accounts
If you switched from 'All Accounts' to 'Per Account', each account gets its own signature. Check each account individually and update the signature text.
