How to Add an Email Signature in Outlook Mobile (iOS & Android)

The Outlook mobile app supports email signatures for all connected accounts. Formatting support is limited compared to desktop Outlook, but you can add a clean text-based signature. The same signature applies to all accounts by default.

Before you start

You'll need a signature to paste. Already have one? Skip to step 1.

Step-by-step setup

1
Open the Outlook app on your iPhone or Android phone.
2
Tap your profile picture or initials in the top-left corner of the app.
3
Tap the gear icon in the bottom-left of the slide-out menu to open Settings.
4
Scroll down in Settings until you see 'Signature'. Tap it.

Pro tip: If you have multiple accounts connected, Outlook mobile uses one signature for all of them unless you've set per-account signatures (available in newer versions).

5
Make sure the 'Signature' toggle at the top is turned on.
6
Tap in the text field and type your signature. You can use basic formatting (bold, italic) via the formatting toolbar above the keyboard.
7
Tap the checkmark or back arrow to save. Compose a new email to confirm your signature appears.

Common issues

Signature shows the same for all accounts

By default, Outlook mobile uses one signature for all accounts. In newer versions of the app, you can enable per-account signatures in the same Signature settings screen.

Rich formatting not preserved

Outlook mobile has a basic text editor. Complex HTML or images from a pasted DropSig signature won't render correctly. Type your signature as plain text or use minimal formatting.

Signature option missing from Settings

Update the Outlook app to the latest version. On older versions, signature settings may appear under a different menu label.
